あけましておめでとうございます!Happy 2022!

The books I’m going to be using this year!

For my first post of the New Year, I wanted to talk about my study goals for 2022! Unsurprisingly, they can be summed up as

“I want to pass the JLPT N2 in December 2022!”

(The JLPT is cancelled in London until then…sad face…)

2022の初めのブログで、日本語を勉強するの目的をご紹介すると思う。コロナのせいで、ロンドンでは試験が12月まで延期されてしまったので、一番大切な目的はもちろん、「12月に日本語能力試験のn2に合格しようつもりだ!」

I’ve already been studying for about a year, so I will spend the first half of this year wrapping up learning new material, and the second half doing mock tests to identify my weak points and consolidating everything I’ve learned. Here’s my weekly plan for the next six months, in order from most to least important!

もう一年間ぐらい勉強しているので、2022の前半には新しいことを勉強してしまって、後半にはもぎ試験や復習するなどしようつもり。下は、勉強計画が書いてある!

  • Reading – A few pages of Shin Kanzen Master Dokkai each week, plus my books for the reading challenge below!
  • Listening – A few pages of Shin Kanzen Master Choukai each week, plus whatever podcasts and shows I usually watch
  • Vocabulary – I’m using anki decks for N2 Tango and N2 Goi Drill every day, plus the vocal from my kanji textbook and the books I’m reading for fun.
  • Kanji – 3 or 4 new kanji per day, using Intermediate Kanji Book Volume 2
  • Grammar – Review 1 lesson per week from Shin Kanzen Master Bunpou

In addition, I recently read about the 2022 Target Language Reading Challenge via Inside That Japanese Book, and decided to go for it! I had some books that I wanted to read and review on the blog anyway, and it can only help my reading ability before the exam! I’ve already started my book for this month, and I’m really looking forward to sharing this crazy journey with you on the blog!

そういえは、他のブログを読むきっかけに、一年で本を12冊読むことのチャレンジを見つけた。もう読み始めた!試験までに読解のスピードを上達したい。どうせ、今年頑張ろう…!
